Traditional guest house,

Agios Athanasios, Greece

 

Our goal was  to design a traditional Guest House in the village Agios Athanasios In Macedonia, in harmony with the built and natural  environment.  To that direction was, also the choise of materials: stone, wood and roof tiles.

 

Eight  autonomous “residences” were designed in order to avoid the resemblance to a classical hotel and to create a familiar environment for the guests.  

 At the same time , these separate “residences” allow the development of diverse green spaces and of two central squares, exploiting the temperate Greek climate.
